The lecture covered the following topics:

  • Sociological and Cultural Aspects of Voting – an analysis of how social and cultural issues influenced support for the candidates, particularly Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, as a reflection of challenges present in the U.S. and democratic countries around the world.
  • Role of Revisionist Powers – a consideration of the role of Russia, China, and Iran in the American elections through hybrid activities and disinformation campaigns, as a case study of their actions in global electoral processes.
  • Geopolitical Consequences for Europe and the Western Balkans – an analysis of the implications of the U.S. election results on the security and political stability of Europe, with a particular focus on the Western Balkans.

The lecture was organized according to the Chatham House Rules.
